About this Heroes at Home Project

Sgt Mike Francisco is an active duty Army sergeant who lives in Fountain, CO with his wife and 2 children. While he was in Iraq serving his third tour of duty, he was hit by an IED explosion and mortar fire, resulting in severe injuries. Sgt. Francisco is 37 years old, and entered the army 14 years ago. His injuries include significant TBI and PTSD, vision and hearing loss, lower back injuries and a skin issue on his feet. He is set to receive the Bronze Star.
Rebuilding Together is working with community volunteers to install grab bars, new railings and a new walk-in shower. While on the project, the crew fixed a foundation leak found in the basement of Sgt. Mike's home.
